Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital radiology department, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a CT Scan department within a radiology unit
- Department has 2 Siemens scanners (Siemens Force and Siemens Definition AS)
- Approximately 100 CT scans performed per day
- Studies include neuro, body, MSK, angiography, interventional, and cardiac CT
- In-house radiologist coverage during daytime hours; radiologist at another campus in the PM
- Charting via Epic EMR; PACS system is Change Healthcare
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Staggered start times between 7:00–8:00 PM for night shifts
- Schedule is set by supervisors 8 weeks out; no block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
- May be asked to cover weekend or holiday shifts on a rotating basis
- No call or on-call requirement
- No floating to other areas required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience preferred
- Active ARRT (CT) certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- IV placement experience required
- Epic EMR experience beneficial
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licensure will not be accepted
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a broad range of study types including neuro, body, MSK, angiography, interventional, and cardiac
- A CT supervisor and designated lead tech are present on each shift
- Orientation consists of 1–2 weeks with a preceptor, with site-specific training provided
- Manager interviews are conducted as part of the selection process
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; scrubs are available on-site if desired
- Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
